FOOTBALL HELMETS

Unfortunately, no. Upgrading components would create a new helmet model, which would not be NOCSAE certified and therefore not approved for play.

The Xenith Shadow XR differs from the standard Xenith Shadow in three distinct ways:1. Xenith Shadow XR utilizes RHEON™ shocks for its energy control layer, while the Xenith Shadow utilizes a combination of single and multi-stage shocks.2. Xenith Shadow XR adds two outer RHEON™ jaw shocks which provide additional energy management and an even, uniform fit.3. Xenith Shadow XR has a more traditional fit than the Xenith Shadow. Xenith Shadow features a wider range of fit adjustment than Xenith Shadow XR. For example, if a player feels too tight in a Medium Xenith Shadow XR, a Medium Xenith Shadow may still be the right choice. For proper fitting of any helmet please refer to the appropriate size and fit guide. For additional information on each helmet please refer to their respective product pages:

Yes, Xenith LOOP may be used for Youth Flag Football. While Xenith LOOP was designed with the elite 7v7 athlete in mind, the innovative KINTETIX technology excels at managing various levels of impact. This means Xenith LOOP will protect in Youth Flag Football as well as it does for elite 7v7.

Xenith LOOP is specifically designed for non-tackle football, and is not recommended for use in other sports.

Follow the size chart, and try on Xenith LOOP to be sure that size is comfortable. Put Xenith LOOP on your head as shown. The bottom edge of the front of the headgear should be positioned approximately 1-cm above your brow. On the side of your head, Xenith LOOP should be positioned just above your ears.

Xenith LOOP should be snug enough to not move around when running or playing, but not so tight as to cause discomfort. Xenith LOOP’s stretch zones may allow a player to wear multiple sizes, so choose the one that feels secure and comfortable. If Xenith LOOP moves around during play or is uncomfortable in this position, choose a different size.
