Xenith shoulder pads have been meticulously designed to meet the needs of players who demand superior protection, and ultralight performance to minimize fatigue late in the 4th quarter when the game is on the line. After the game or practice is over, it's important to clean your pads to eliminate dirt, sweat, and odor. Cleaning your shoulder pads not only extends their lifespan, but also ensures they stay in like-new condition throughout the season.
In this article, we'll walk you through the steps to clean Xenith shoulder pads to achieve that fresh, out of the box feeling every time you strap up and take the field.
STEPS TO CLEAN XENITH SHOULDER PADS
Step 1: Prepare the Cleaning Area
Cleaning Xenith shoulder pads is a straightforward process that can be completed in a short amount of time, and only requires a few basic household items. (NOTE: if you're in-season, you can clean your pads after activity by simply wiping them down with a disinfecting wipe and water to remove any dirt/grass.)
- Clean towel and wash cloth
- Cleaning solution / Soap and water
- Sponge
Step 2: Remove Detachable Parts
If your pads have removable deltoid pads or body padding, detach them carefully. This will make it easier to clean each component thoroughly.
Step 3: Wipe Down the Surface
Using a damp cloth or sponge, wipe down the surface of the shoulder pads to remove any dirt or debris. Pay special attention to any stubborn stains or marks.
Step 4: Cleaning the Pads and Straps
After wiping the pads down, use warm soapy water to scrub the padding and all straps, gently agitating them to loosen any dirt or grime. Rinse them thoroughly with clean water.
Step 5: Drying
Once clean, shake off any excess water from the pads and straps. Dry off any remaining moisture with a clean towel.
Step 6: Reassemble
Once dry, reattach any pads or straps and ensure they are securely fastened for proper fit and protection.
READY FOR GAME DAY
Regular cleaning and maintenance are essential for preventing the quality and performance of shoulder pads. By following these simple steps, you can ensure that your equipment stays clean, odor-free, and ready for game day.
