COMPANY HISTORY
Xenith was founded in 2006 by Vin Ferrara, a former Harvard quarterback and Columbia University MD. After several head injuries during his football career, he believed that there had to be a better way to make a football helmet. After spending three years on research and development, Xenith launched its first helmet in 2009 and is now worn by hundreds of thousands of players across the globe – from the youth level to the pros.Xenith’s headquarters and production facility are located in Detroit, Michigan. The 66,000-square-foot facility houses an impact testing lab, custom paint booth, reconditioning operation, showroom and warehouse. Xenith is a proud member of a family of companies that includes other companies like Quicken Loans and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

We stay ahead of the game with a tireless work ethic and nonstop drive to innovate for football’s fast-changing landscape.Xenith is the only manufacturer to exclusively design and produce 5-Star helmets under the widely accepted Virginia Tech star system. Other companies have 5-Star helmets, but they also produce 4-Star, 3-Star and 2-Star products. The Xenith philosophy is that if a helmet does not excel under the most stringent testing available, it should not be on the field.
