The Green Bay Packers hosted three local high school football teams at Lambeau Field this week, where student athletes and coaches received a tour of the legendary stadium, free lunch, and a special visit from Packers running back AJ Dillon, who presented each team with $6,000 worth of brand-new Xenith helmets for their football programs.

Dozens of high school football players were surprised by Packers running back, AJ Dillon, along with tables full of brand-new Xenith football helmets customized with their team colors. The helmets were awarded as part of the Packers Helmet Give Back Program, which invited coaches and athletic directors from around the state to apply to receive new helmets last fall. This helmet donation is also part of Xenith's Community Give Back Program and the Buy a Helmet Give a Helmet Program.

“Injuries are inevitable,” said Dillon. “But the most important thing in your body is your head. It’s really important to see not only Xenith, but the Packers really trying to take care of the community, playing the game we love and doing it the safe way.”

Ten schools were ultimately awarded the helmets, but the three teams who attended the event were from Marshall High School, Roncalli in Manitowoc and Bay View in Milwaukee.

"I was amazed I thought it was super cool. I didn't think it was going to happen," said Roncalli High School Junior, Rianna Robbins, a kicker on their football team. "I thought we were just going to eat food, talk a little more and then be on our way."

The donations also are made possible through the support of American Family Insurance and their efforts to provide high school athletes with the equipment and support they need to pursue their dreams. The helmet donation program is part of the Packers' football outreach efforts, which promote and serve youth and high school football programs around Wisconsin.
