How to Fit Xenith Helmets

Steps to Fit a Xenith Helmet
Follow the Xenith helmet fitting guide below to ensure a proper fit. Measurements for helmet size should be taken 1" inch above the eyebrow around the circumference of the head. The size chart on this page is recommended as a guideline only. (Individual head sizes may vary.)
Step 1: PUT THE HELMET ON
Unbuckle the chin straps and pull the Xenith chin cup towards the facemask. Next, pull on the helmet and ensure the padding sits above the eyebrows - also check to make sure there isn’t excessive space between the cheeks, jaw pads, or occipital pad.
Step 2: ADJUST THE HIGH BUCKLES FIRST AND SECURE
Hold the chin cup to your chin. Start with the top chin straps and pull upwards so the chin cup sits comfortably under the chin. Press the snap buckle firmly into place and ensure there is minimal slack in the straps.
Step 3: ADJUST THE LOW BUCKLES AND SECURE
Next, pull the lower chin straps outward until the chin cup is securely in place. Bring the lower chin strap beneath the jawline of the shell and up to the open snap. Slide each buckle along the chin strap until the buckle can snap into place on the outside of the helmet with no discomfort or slack in the straps.
Step 4: CHECK FOR PROPER FIT
With all four buckles snapped into place, apply mild force to the facemask in multiple directions. If there is excessive movement, tighten the chin straps and readjust the buckles until a snug, secure fit is achieved. (Additional comfort pads are available on Xenith.com to dial-in the optimum fit.)
Step 5: LOCK THE BUCKLES IN PLACE
Once the helmet is comfortable and secure, feed the end of the chin strap through the second slot of each buckle to lock in the fit.

In most traditional helmets available today, the protective system is made up of a series of pads attached directly to the helmet shell to help mitigate linear forces. However, anytime the helmet shell moves, the head is also going to move with it.
