Shaw High School in East Cleveland, OH has received some major upgrades to their football equipment this season. On September 21st, the Cleveland Browns donated a new, synthetic turf football field and bleachers to the school. A few days later, the team's locker room also received some upgrades after Xenith and the Browns teamed up to provide new Xenith X2E+ Varsity Helmets and Xenith Uniforms to the Shaw High School football team.
Perfect timing for the Cardinal's first home game in over two years!
The helmets were provided to Shaw High School as part of the Cleveland Browns HELMETS Program. Since 2017, Xenith and the Cleveland Browns have provided more than 2,500 helmets to eligible youth and high school football programs across the state of Ohio. In addition, to make sure the player's on-field presence went along with the shine of their brand new stadium, the Browns also provided new Xenith Uniforms to the Cardinal football team.

HELMETS aims to advance player safety by awarding Ohio football programs with $25,000 in new five-star Xenith helmets, as recognized by Virginia Tech’s helmet ratings. To help further promote health and safety, each program must enroll in USA Football’s medically endorsed Youth Football Certification course. The certification clinics educate coaches about concussion recognition and response protocols, proper equipment fitting, shoulder tackling, heads up blocking, heat emergency preparedness and hydration, as well as sudden cardiac arrest.
This year, Xenith and the Cleveland Browns will continue to provide Top-Rated protection to Ohio-based high schools by giving two programs the chance to win $25,000 in new Xenith helmets! The nomination period closes on January 31, 2022 and winners will be notified in the Spring.
